Berjaya Hakkoda Ski Resort, Kansuizawa Public Bath

Do not come here for a natural hot spring in September 2026. The public bath is open, but after the 2025 earthquake the spring flow dropped and the current bath uses heated groundwater. Walk-in day-use pricing and tattoo rules have not been confirmed by the current hotel pages.

Spring & water temperature

Spring-source temperature
Not published as a current value. A pre-earthquake third-party listing is not treated as a 2026 hotel figure.
Bathing temperature
Not published.
Spring source
Kansuizawa Onsen source; the operator says the source itself is not damaged, but its flow declined after the earthquake.
Spring classification
The bath is not currently using natural hot spring water. Older association pages disagree on the spring classification, so no definitive classification is carried forward.
pH
Not published.
Flow rate
The operator reported reduced spring flow after the December 8, 2025 earthquake but has not published a current figure.
Water handling
The public bath currently uses heated groundwater because the natural spring supply is unavailable. The operator has not announced restoration of the hot-spring supply.

The bath itself may be accessible to non-guests, but current walk-in terms are unconfirmed. Do not describe the present bath as a natural hot spring.
