What stays in local storage

Your saved ryokan IDs, comparison list, trip-planning choices, packing list and checklist answers or notes are stored in this browser. They do not automatically sync between devices. Private browsing, a different browser or clearing browser data may remove them.

Clear YUBIYORI saved data This removes YUBIYORI shortlists, comparisons, trip notes and checklists from this browser after confirmation. It does not clear other websites’ data.

Anonymous usage analytics

The site sends usage events to YUBIYORI’s analytics service. These can include page paths and titles, event type, a random visitor and session ID, device category, viewport size, browser language, referral host, search engine, campaign source, clicks, filter changes, search text, scroll depth, page duration, performance measurements and front-end errors. Search terms and selected filter values can therefore be included in event data.

The analytics IDs are kept in this browser’s local storage. The event table stores the fields listed above and has no IP-address column; the hosting and network providers may still process connection data under their own policies. Analytics requests omit browser credentials. Do not put sensitive personal information into site searches or checklist notes.

External services and images

Some images load from Wikimedia until a local optimised copy is available. Opening a ryokan, map, booking or affiliate link sends a request to that external service. Booking partners and Stay22 may use their own cookies or identifiers; their privacy terms apply after you leave this site.

Remove analytics identifiers

To remove the analytics visitor and session IDs as well as your saved data, clear site data for YUBIYORI in your browser settings. The in-page clear button removes planning and checklist data, but does not reset the analytics IDs.
