Southern Hakkoda–Towada, Aomori

Motoyu Sarukura Onsen

Do not make a hot-spring stop here in September 2026: the facility was on hold in the September 7 research check. If it reopens, its five-source system and source-flowing sulfur baths could make it a strong southern Hakkoda option, but the reopening terms need fresh confirmation.

Check before bathing

Opening hours
Unavailable in the September 2026 research check. The former regular day-use schedule—weekends and holidays 09:00–15:00, last reception 14:30, adult ¥700 and children ¥300—is historical reference only, not a current offer.

Water handling
The operator described the main inn baths as 100% source-flowing. The facility was on hold in the September 7, 2026 research check, so no current bathing supply is available to visitors.

The facility was on hold as of September 7, 2026. A JR bus stop at Sarukura Onsen does not mean the inn is open. The stop is about 400 metres uphill-to-downhill on a paved road from the inn, and mobile reception may be unavailable nearby.
