Sukayu Onsen Inn
A destination bath for visitors who want the strongly acidic waters and the cypress-built Hiba Sennin Bath. The large bath is mixed-gender, with a women-only hour and facility-approved bathing wear; Tamano-yu is a separate gender-segregated option. Winter access is better planned around the JR bus than a difficult drive.

Spring & water temperature
- Spring-source temperature
- 52.3°C is listed as a spring temperature by Aomori Prefecture tourism information; it does not represent all five sources or every bath.
- Bathing temperature
- Not published.
- Spring source
- Five springs in total: four supply the Hiba Sennin Bath and a separate spring supplies Tamano-yu.
- Spring classification
- Acidic, sulfur-bearing spring systems. The facility operates five distinct sources; the classification should not be treated as a single identical analysis for every bath.
- pH
- Aomori Prefecture flags pH 1.5–2.0 as an example of the strongly acidic water; this is not a confirmed shared analysis for all five sources.
- Flow rate
- Not published.
- Water handling
- The operator confirms five sources but does not publish a complete pool-by-pool breakdown of dilution, heating, circulation or disinfection.
The strongly acidic water may irritate skin and mucous membranes. Only the operator's approved bathing wear is permitted in the mixed bath. The admission price and day-use hours change on December 1, 2026.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
