Awazu Onsen, Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture
Awazu Onsen Sōyu
A good-value public bath for visitors already around Komatsu, Natadera or the Awazu Onsen district. It is not the best fit if you want a sauna, open-air bath, many pool features or a dramatic natural setting.
Check before bathing
- Opening hours
- 08:00–22:00; last admission 21:30. Closed Tuesdays.
- Tattoo policy
- The facility's current first-party information does not confirm a tattoo policy. Check with the bathhouse before visiting.
Spring & water temperature
- Spring-source temperature
- Not published in current official information. An older figure of 50.9°C is not used as a 2026 value.
- Bathing temperature
- Not published in current official information.
- Spring source
- Awazu Onsen Sōyu; the current official pages do not publish a specific source well that can be tied to the bathhouse for 2026.
- Spring classification
- Sodium sulfate-chloride spring; low-salinity, mildly alkaline and hot.
- pH
- Not published; current official pages describe the spring as mildly alkaline. An older pH figure is not carried forward.
- Flow rate
- Not published. An older flow figure is not used as a current value.
- Water handling
- Current Komatsu City and Ishikawa tourism pages confirm a natural-spring public bath. They do not publish complete, bath-by-bath details on water addition, heating, circulation, filtration or disinfection, so the water is not described as entirely source-flowing. Older treatment information from around 2008 is not used as a 2026 fact.
Bathing indications
Komatsu City's tourism page lists general bathing indications including nerve pain, muscle pain and skin conditions. This is not a treatment guarantee.
The current official pages do not publish full, bath-by-bath treatment details. The bathing area does not provide complimentary shampoo; towels and other items are sold.
An Ishikawa tourism page still shows an older ¥430 day-use price. The current 2026 price listed by Komatsu City is used instead.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
