Aoshima and Kodomo-no-Kuni, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture
Jizoan Private Onsen
Best for two people or a family who want a quiet, fully private soak and a notably alkaline-feeling spring. For an inexpensive multi-bath tour, a public-bath facility is a better fit.
Check before bathing
- Opening hours
- The private bath is booked for one group for 60 minutes, from ¥3,500 for two people; each additional adult is ¥1,000. Reservations open two days ahead. The Aoshima Onsen pass gives ¥550 off per person and tea with a snack after bathing; it does not include free admission.
- Access
- About an eight-minute walk from Kodomo-no-Kuni Station; eight free parking spaces are listed.

- Spring classification
- Alkaline hot spring. The current inn page uses pH and 'beauty spring' descriptions but does not publish a current formal spring name.

- The inn says the private baths use natural water from its grounds and are completely drained and refilled daily. It does not publish pool-specific water addition, heating, circulation or disinfection details; daily replacement is not treated as proof of source-flowing supply.
Bathing indications
Aoshima Onsen and the inn list general bathing uses including cuts, sensitivity to cold and peripheral circulation issues. These are travel references, not a treatment guarantee.
Reservations are required. The pass gives a discount, not free bathing. Tattoo policy is not confirmed.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
