Bathing indications
The official page presents Ōyu as Shibu's signature public bath and mentions traditional bathing indications such as neuralgia. Traditional descriptions are not medical guarantees.
The operator says the bath uses direct, undiluted and unheated spring water. Its notice permits brief cooling with cold water.
Day admission is ¥800 for adults and ¥500 for children, cash only. Buy a ticket first, then ask staff at the designated shop or inn to unlock the bath. Shampoo is prohibited, and shampoo and body wash are not provided. The full nine-bath circuit is reserved for overnight guests.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
