By JR Matsuyama Station, Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture
Kisuke-no-Yu, Iyo Hot-Spring Retreat
A practical station-side choice for an early or late soak, multiple baths and low transport overhead. Choose Sora Tomori instead for a longer stay with a heated-stone area, forest-style relaxation and private family baths.
Check before bathing
- Opening hours
- The FAQ lists 05:00–26:00, last admission 25:00; the general hours listing says 10:00–26:00. Morning bathing runs 05:00–10:00, but maintenance days may open at 10:00. Check the day's notice before an early visit.
- Access
- Beside JR Matsuyama Station.
- Tattoo policy
- Conditional. Tattoos are generally refused, but guests may bathe if their designs are fully covered by no more than two of the facility's designated 114 × 200 mm cover seals, sold for ¥200 each. If two seals cannot cover the entire design, the exception does not apply.
Spring & water temperature
- Spring-source temperature
- About 30.5°C for No. 1 and 46°C for No. 2; these are source temperatures, not fixed bathing-pool temperatures.
- Bathing temperature
- Fixed temperatures for the natural-spring pools are not published. The listed 38°C seasonal cooling bath, 16°C cold spring bath and 21°C Shio-seisen bath refer to separate features.
- Spring source
- No. 1 and No. 2 springs.
- Spring classification
- No. 1: weakly radioactive sodium chloride spring. No. 2: alkaline simple weakly radioactive spring.
- pH
- No. 2: pH 9.4. A current precise pH for No. 1 is not published.
- Flow rate
- Not published.
- Water handling
- No. 2 is used source-flowing in the Tsubaki-no-yu bath. No. 1 is used mainly in the Shigaraki pot bath and carbonated bath. Do not extend those supply claims to every functional pool; individual water-treatment conditions are not fully published for each bath.
Bathing indications
The facility publishes general bathing indications and characteristics for both springs. These are hot-spring reference details, not personal treatment or beauty guarantees.
The morning schedule may change on maintenance days. The 30.5°C and 46°C figures are source temperatures, not the temperatures of all baths. The 38°C seasonal cooling bath, 16°C cold spring bath and 21°C Shio-seisen are separate features. The tattoo-cover exception requires complete coverage with at most two designated seals.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
