Higashi-Dogo, Kume, Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture
Higashi-Dogo Sora Tomori
Best for a long visit starting early, with heated-stone relaxation, lounge space, manga, dining and family baths. For a quick natural-spring soak beside JR Matsuyama Station, Kisuke is simpler and less expensive.
Check before bathing
- Opening hours
- Day-use baths 05:00–25:00; last admission 24:00. Usually open year-round. Family baths open from 10:30 or 11:00 depending on the day and run until 23:30; last entry 22:30.
- Tattoo policy
- Public baths are not permitted for guests with tattoos, including small and fashion tattoos. The facility says guests with tattoos may use only the private Yuyado rooms or family baths; that exception does not extend to the public bathing areas.
Spring & water temperature
- Spring-source temperature
- 42.6°C for the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 springs.
- Bathing temperature
- 42.6°C is the “point of use” figure on the spring analysis sheet, not a fixed temperature for every bath.
- Spring source
- Higashi-Dogo No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 springs.
- Spring classification
- Alkaline simple hot spring (low-tonicity, alkaline, high-temperature spring).
- pH
- 9.2.
- Flow rate
- Not published.
- Water handling
- Natural spring water is used in the main bath, Mitama-no-yu, warm bath and pot baths. The facility identifies its high-concentration carbonated bath as an artificial functional bath and the cold bath as water from Tsuenofuchi spring. Current first-party pages do not fully publish water treatment or source-flow details for every pool, so the entire facility is not described as source-flowing.
Bathing indications
The facility publishes general bathing indications and spring details. These are not personal treatment or beauty guarantees.
Do not apply the 42.6°C source and point-of-use figure to every pool. The high-concentration carbonated bath is artificially carbonated, while the 14–16°C cold bath uses water from Tsuenofuchi spring. Tattoos are not allowed in public baths; the stated exception is limited to private Yuyado rooms or family baths.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
