Kanto Onsen Without a Car: Check the Last Mile Before You Book
Kanto hot springs may need a local bus or ryokan shuttle after the train. Compare the final leg, luggage access, mobility and return service before booking.
“Accessible by train” only gets you to the rail station. In Kanto, a bath may still sit uphill, across a valley or beyond the last convenient bus. Before booking a ryokan or building a day trip, find the exact stop for the property and decide what you will do if the connection you planned does not line up.

- What is the next reasonable option if you miss the local bus?
One short station walk may be easy with a backpack and awkward with a wheeled case, a child or limited mobility. If the inn’s shuttle is the only practical option, check its exact procedure with the property before paying for the room.
