Suehiroyu in Nipponbashi: A Sento Open from 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Near Kuromon Market, Suehiroyu is one minute from Nipponbashi Station Exit 8. Its long daily hours suit early or late baths; it closes Mondays.

Suehiroyu is an easy add-on if you are staying around Namba or visiting Kuromon Market. The Osaka Public Bathhouse Association lists it at 1-16-5 Nipponbashi, a one-minute walk from Exit 8 at Nipponbashi Station. It opens at 6 a.m. and stays open until 1:30 a.m.; Monday is the regular closing day.

That schedule covers two very different needs: a wash before the city gets busy, or a bath after dinner and shopping. Check the date before heading over, especially around holidays, and leave enough time before closing rather than treating 1:30 a.m. as a last-entry time.

A natural fit before Kuromon Market or after dinner

Kuromon Ichiba Market in Osaka

The bathhouse association describes Suehiroyu as a long-established sento near Kuromon Market. Osaka’s RIDE & BATH route also pairs a local bath with breakfast, which is a good way to use the 6 a.m. opening: bathe first, then see which market stalls are open. In the evening, dinner around Namba followed by a short walk back to the bath is just as straightforward. Market opening times vary, so an early soak does not mean every stall will be serving breakfast.

This is most useful if your hotel is in Nipponbashi, Kuromon or eastern Namba. It is not a luggage facility; if you arrive before hotel check-in, leave bags at the hotel or a station locker first.

What the ¥600 bath includes

Adult admission at association-member public bathhouses is currently ¥600. Suehiroyu lists a high-temperature steam sauna and cold bath, and says the sauna is included at no extra charge. The steam room is a wet sauna, not a dry sauna. You will also find electric and jet baths, laundry facilities and drinks.

Suehiroyu is a public bath, not a verified natural hot spring. The association does not publish a spring analysis for it. Its name, sauna and hot bathing pools are not evidence of a natural source.

The association mentions a hands-free set for visitors without bathing supplies, but does not show its current price or exact contents. Bring a small towel if you have one, or ask at the front desk before paying for extras.

VisitorCurrent Osaka standard rate
Adult¥600
Elementary-school child¥200
Younger child¥100

Older pages showing ¥450 or ¥520 are outdated.

The listed sauna is specifically a high-temperature steam sauna. No fixed room temperature is published, and dry-sauna figures such as 90°C or 100°C should not be applied to it. The association does not publish a legal spring name or water analysis either, so Suehiroyu should be treated as a city sento, not a confirmed natural hot spring.

Getting there from Kuromon Market

Exit 8 is the shortest approach from Nipponbashi Station. Suehiroyu is also close to Kuromon Market, so it fits naturally after a meal or an evening around Namba. Keep in mind that market stalls do not all share the same opening hours; an early bath can come before breakfast, but it will not guarantee that the market is already open.

If a late bath is your main priority, compare it with Tateba Onsen and Suehiroyu after dark. For a broader look at larger day-use spas and public baths, see the Osaka day-onsen guide.

Choose Suehiroyu for the one-minute station walk, early opening and included steam sauna. If you still need a bath between 2 and 4 a.m., Tateba’s later hours are a better match. Monday is Suehiroyu’s regular closure day; tattoos and the exact hand-free-set contents are not confirmed in the association listing, so ask the operator rather than assuming.

For baths closer to another part of town, compare the Chuo, Tennoji and Naniwa sento guide, the Osaka early-morning and late-night bath guide or the Radium Onsen and Healthy Onsen Sakuragawa morning-bath comparison.

The Osaka sento overview covers the basics for a first public-bath visit, while the modern sento guide focuses on more design-led or sauna-oriented choices.
