Rakutenchi or Yasaka? Two Late-Closing Sento in Osaka
Compare Tenma’s Rakutenchi, open until 1:30 a.m., with Yasaka near Noda-Hanshin for its two saunas and wider bath selection.
Both bathhouses work for a late Osaka evening, but they serve different sides of the city. Rakutenchi is five minutes from Tenma or Tenjinbashisuji-6chome and stays open until 1:30 a.m. Yasaka is about seven minutes from Noda-Hanshin, Ebie or Hanshin Noda, closes at 1 a.m., and offers both dry and steam saunas.

Rakutenchi: stay around Tenma
Rakutenchi’s address is 7-12 Ikedacho, Kita Ward. Its later closing time matters if dinner or a bar stop has already brought you to Tenma. The bathhouse association lists a dry sauna, cold bath, soft-water bath, outdoor bath, electric bath and jet baths. It describes the cold bath as using natural water and soft water. That does not mean the facility uses a legally classified natural hot spring; no spring analysis is published on the current listing.
The extra 30 minutes is useful only if you are already nearby. Crossing Osaka late at night to gain half an hour can cost much of the time you hoped to save, especially when trains become less frequent.
Rakutenchi suits a Tenma evening: finish dinner or a drink nearby, then walk over rather than planning a late cross-city transfer. Its sauna is dry, and the cold bath is described as using natural water alongside the soft-water bath. “Natural water” here is not evidence of a legally classified hot spring. The listing does not provide a spring analysis, and the name Rakutenchi Onsen should not be used to imply one.
Yasaka: a broader sauna choice near Noda-Hanshin
Yasaka Onsen sits at 2-8-21 Daikai, Fukushima Ward. The listed walk is about seven minutes from Noda-Hanshin, Ebie or Hanshin Noda. It closes at 1 a.m.; the second and fourth Thursdays are regular closing days. The association lists two sauna types, plus an outdoor bath, cold bath, soft-water bath, electric bath, jet baths, sitting bath and reclining bath. There are two free parking spaces.
That range is useful when the group does not all want the same kind of sauna. For someone choosing purely by the shortest trip back to a hotel near Tenma, the additional facilities may not justify the cross-city detour.
Yasaka is better placed for Noda-Hanshin, Ebie and the western side of Fukushima. The seven-minute station walk is similar from the three nearby rail stops, and the two free parking spaces are useful only if you arrive early enough to find one open. With a 1 a.m. close, allow time to bathe and get back to your hotel; the posted closing time is not a recommended arrival time.
Both names include “Onsen,” but neither association listing supplies the source-water analysis needed to call the bath a natural hot spring. For another late-night comparison elsewhere in Osaka, see the Tateba and Suehiroyu guide.
Osaka’s current standard adult public-bath fare is ¥600, with child rates of ¥200 for elementary-school pupils and ¥100 for younger children. That is the bathing admission, not a guaranteed sauna-and-towel bundle. Neither facility’s current listing settles tattoo policy, so contact the bathhouse if that is a deciding condition.
If you are staying near Tenma or Tenjinbashisuji-6chome, Rakutenchi is usually the easier end-of-night stop. Around Noda-Hanshin, Ebie or Hanshin Noda, Yasaka’s extra sauna and bath options come without the late cross-town ride. From central Umeda, check your hotel’s exact side of the station and the last train before choosing by the 30-minute closing-time difference. The Kita and Fukushima sento guide covers additional local alternatives; the Osaka morning and late-night guide is useful if opening hours are the main constraint.
