Tsurumi Ward Sento Guide: Two Local Baths and a Larger Natural-Spring Spa

Shichifuku and Shin-Asahi are ¥600 neighbourhood sento; Shin-Asahi reopened September 13, 2026. Suisyun is a separate day spa with documented spring water.

Tsurumi has two listed neighbourhood public baths and one much larger day-use spa nearby. They are not interchangeable: the sento charge the standard ¥600 adult fare, while Suisyun has a separate admission price and a longer-stay setup.

The reopening date matters for Shin-Asahi

Older listings still describe Shin-Asahi as temporarily closed from August 8. The Osaka Public Bathhouse Association updated its page on September 8 and says the bathhouse resumed service on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Its current listing gives hours of 3–11:30 p.m. and an irregular closing day. Check the latest notice before visiting, since irregular closures are possible.

The association lists a carbonated bath, dry sauna, cold bath and outdoor bath. It also says that visitors using the neighbouring paid car park can receive a one-hour parking allowance, with a ¥100 cashback arrangement. This is not an on-site free car park.

The two operating sento are the current ward shortlist: Pearl Shin-Onsen appears in older directories but not in the association’s current active listings. Shin-Asahi’s “carbonated onsen” is an artificial carbonated bath, not a verified natural carbon-dioxide spring. Check its irregular closure before travelling; the stated reopening from September 13 is now past, and the association lists it as operating again.

Shichifuku for a standard local-bath visit

Shichifuku Onsen is at 1-6-6 Imazu-naka. The association lists a seven-minute walk from Hanaten Station, hours of 2:30 p.m.–midnight, year-round opening and seven free parking spaces. The facility list includes dry and steam saunas, cold and outdoor baths, electric and jet baths, and a rest room. Adult admission is ¥600 at the current standard sento rate. The association does not publish a current sauna surcharge, so confirm that part at the counter.

Neither the “Onsen” in its name nor its outdoor bath is proof of a natural hot spring; the association page does not provide a spring analysis.

Shichifuku also has electric and jet baths, hot and warm tubs, a rest room and listed accessibility features; its seven parking spaces are free. The association gives no sauna surcharge or tattoo rule, so ask at the counter about either before relying on it.

Suisyun costs more, but offers a different kind of visit

Tsurumi Ryokuchi Yuamoto Suisyun is next to Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park. It documents its source as Tsurukotobuki-no-yu, a sodium-chloride spring, and specifies a source-fed open-air rock bath. Current adult admission is ¥1,100 on weekdays and ¥1,200 on weekends and public holidays. A separate stone-spa option costs extra. In April 2026, the facility renewed its interior and added a men’s meditation sauna; the women’s herbal salt sauna also received an update.

The larger facility is a better match if you want to spend several hours, use the stone-spa rooms or have meals on site. For a quick bath after an evening around Hanaten, either neighbourhood sento is much closer to the ¥600 price point.

Suisyun bars guests with tattoos, including tattoo stickers. Shichifuku and Shin-Asahi publish no equivalent rule; ask those bathhouses about their own conditions.

For a broader look at Osaka public baths, see the Osaka sento guide; the early-morning and late-night bath guide is useful if your visit depends on a particular opening window.

For Suisyun’s own spring, stone-spa and family rules, see the Tsurumi Ryokuchi Suisyun guide. The Osaka super-sento guide explains the difference between a neighbourhood sento and a larger bath complex; if you want a more design-led city bath, see the modern Osaka sento guide.

Shichifuku is the safer pick for a visit that needs two sauna styles and predictable year-round listing; Shin-Asahi is worth considering for its carbonated bath and outdoor area once its irregular schedule is checked. If you want a natural spring, Suisyun is the clear option, though it costs more and deserves a longer stay.

Suisyun’s current adult weekend rate is ¥1,200. The special ¥1,300 charge has ended.

It applied only September 20–23, 2026. Suisyun’s tattoos-including-stickers rule is stricter than what is documented for either sento.
