Shisui Onsen Yuraku no Sato: Source-Flow Baths, Ticket Options and the Bus

Shisui Onsen Yuraku no Sato guide to its source-flow spring, Simple and Yuttari tickets, direct bus, sauna timing, family rules and current operating status.

Updated September 2026

Shisui Onsen Yuraku no Sato makes a good stop if you are already around Narita, Shisui or northern Chiba and want a natural spring without paying for a full resort stay. Its outdoor Gen-sen Takami no Yu bath is identified as source-flow.

Weekday admission starts at ¥950. The higher-priced Yuttari ticket mainly bundles towels and indoor wear; it does not unlock a different bathing area.

The facility reopened fully on August 18, 2026, after heavy rain affected operations earlier that month. Its regular hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., with last admission at 10 p.m. Check the latest facility notices on the day of a visit, especially if making a special trip.

Simple or Yuttari: the difference is what you carry

Adult ticketWeekdayWeekend / holidayWhat is included
Simple Course¥950¥1,100Admission
Yuttari Course¥1,450¥1,600Admission, face towel, bath-towel rental and indoor wear

The gap is ¥500. Buying the three items separately costs ¥600, so Yuttari saves ¥100 if you need all of them. If you have your own towel and plan to leave after bathing, Simple is enough: the spring bath, reclining spring bath, carbonated bath and sauna are not upgrades reserved for the more expensive ticket.

Other rate or offerDetails
Children, age 4 through elementary school¥520 weekdays; ¥670 weekends and holidays
Children under 3Free
10-visit member pass¥9,000; valid for one year
Announced special-rate periodSeptember 19–27, 2026; confirm the date-specific fee

The ¥500 upgrade saves ¥100 only when you would otherwise rent all three items. Children under three enter free, so the member pass is mainly relevant to local repeat visitors.

Prices and included items are on the official fee page. Special-rate dates may override the standard weekend price.

Which baths use the natural spring?

The spring was drilled at about 2,000 metres and is classified as a highly saline iodide-sodium-chloride hot spring. Gen-sen Takami no Yu is the clearly identified source-flow bath. The outdoor reclining bath also uses natural spring water, but is listed as filtered and circulated.

That distinction is useful if source flow is the reason you chose Shisui. The main bath can deliver that experience; the reclining bath gives you a different way to rest in the same natural spring. The facility does not publish a current, complete treatment table for every tub, so it is best not to extend the source-flow label to the entire outdoor area.

The indoor high-concentration carbonated bath is a separate, artificial CO₂ bath, listed at about 1,000 ppm and roughly 37°C. It is not a natural carbonated spring. The sauna is included with admission, and its automatic löyly starts at :30 each hour.

The current main pages do not republish a full 2026 analysis sheet. Older transcriptions should therefore stay in a clearly historical column:

Spring measurementOlder reported figureCurrent status
Source temperature35.5°CNot republished as a 2026 reading
pH7.7Not republished as a 2026 reading
Flow rate260 L/minNot republished as a 2026 reading

The current material confirms the spring classification and drilling depth of about 2,000 metres. The reclining bath uses the spring too, but its supply is explicitly filtered and circulated—not source-flow.

A direct bus stop now serves the facility

Some older directions send visitors to Shisui Premium Outlets and then on foot. Keisei Bus now lists a stop called “Shisui Onsen (Yuraku no Sato),” with routes connecting the facility to Keisei Shisui Station and the outlet area. Check the current route and timetable for your travel date; buses do not run at metro frequency, and the return trip deserves the same planning as the outbound one.

By car, Shisui IC is about a minute away and the facility lists around 240 free parking spaces. The Chiba tourism listing has the location and access details, too: Shisui Onsen Yuraku no Sato.

Family and entry rules

Guests with tattoos—including tattoo stickers—and body paint are not admitted under the facility’s current rules. There is no listed cover-sticker exception.

Children in elementary school or older cannot bathe with an adult of the opposite sex. A younger child who is 120 cm or taller also cannot enter the opposite-sex bath. Children below elementary-school age need a guardian; the group rules allow diaper-age infants to bathe under a guardian’s supervision.

Weekend and holiday afternoons are more likely to feel busy around seating and the dining area. A weekday afternoon gives you more room to linger outside, though the open-air baths are exposed to weather and seasonal insects. That is a natural trade-off for the garden-like setting.

The direct bus is scheduled rather than frequent, so check the return departure as well as the ride to the bath.

If you want a spa with books and an overnight cabin rather than a straightforward day bath, Yuneru at Shin-Narashino is a different proposition. For bay views near Makuhari, see Makuhari Onsen Yuraku no Sato.
