Natural Onsen Yubune Ichihara Chiharadai opened in March 2024 inside Morimachi Chiharadai Mall. It works best as part of a day around Ichihara, Chiharadai or Kamatori: you can pair a soak with errands or a meal, then head home without turning the bathhouse into the whole excursion.
Adult admission is ¥1,000 on weekdays and ¥1,200 on weekends and public holidays. The bathing ticket includes the sauna areas. If you arrive without towels, the set is ¥360; face and bath towels can also be rented separately.
Baths run from 9 a.m. to midnight, with last admission at 11:30 p.m. There is no bathing time limit.
Two saunas, two different rhythms
The indoor sauna runs automatic loyly, with water periodically poured over the sauna stones. Outside, a cube sauna offers a self-loyly setup, so guests can add water themselves within the facility’s rules. The sauna spaces sit alongside cold baths and outdoor-air rest areas. The current sauna programme changes, so check the official sauna page for event dates rather than planning around a fixed session time.
Yubune also has several indoor and outdoor baths. Its spring is a natural cold mineral spring classified as sodium-chloride and bicarbonate water; that confirms the presence of natural spring water, but does not mean every bath uses it or that the water is served at its original source temperature. The facility lists different bath functions separately, so treat the natural spring bath as the onsen focus and the other tubs as their own experiences.
Getting there is the main decision
For drivers, the mall has up to 600 free parking spaces.
Public transport takes a little more planning. From JR Kamatori Station, take a Kominato Railway bus towards Chiharadai and get off at Chiharadai Chuo, then walk about seven minutes. A bus from Keisei Chiharadai Station towards Kamatori uses the same stop. Check the current access details against the day’s timetable.
The setting is useful if you are already nearby, but it is not a station-front stop. A long cross-town trip for a quick bath can eat into the appeal of the admission price; with a few hours available for the baths and sauna, the outing makes more sense.
A few rules worth knowing before you go
Children under three enter free. Baby baths are available for children who still wear nappies; adults wearing nappies may not use the baths. Mixed-gender bathing is permitted only for children aged six or younger.
Guests with tattoos, stickers or body paint are generally not admitted unless they can be fully covered with the facility’s designated seals. The required seal size and number are unconfirmed. Ask the facility before visiting if coverage may be an issue.
Children aged three through elementary school have a separate ticket: ¥500 on weekdays and ¥600 on weekends and public holidays. The operator also advertises a children’s free-play area and a family-friendly restaurant space.
For sauna visitors, the outdoor cold bath is listed as suitable for diving. That is a facility-specific rule, so follow its posted guidance rather than assuming the same is allowed elsewhere.
For a nearby comparison built around a longer stay and a dedicated shared relaxation floor, see Yuneru at Shin-Narashino. Yubune’s appeal is more straightforward: a natural spring, two contrasting sauna styles and a large free car park in the same mall visit.
If you are choosing between the two Yubune branches, Sodegaura’s station-side facility is the easier rail stop; the broader Tokyo Bay day-use comparison adds a resort and a small inn bath to the mix.
