Nagaragawa Onsen is a convenient add-on to a Gifu City visit, but the three hotels below do not operate like fixed-hours public bathhouses. Juhachiro and Hotel Park both publish changing day-use schedules, while Gifu Grand Hotel has two standard bathing windows. Pick the bath that fits your day, then check the hotel’s own notice before leaving Gifu Station.

Juhachiro: the most atmospheric choice, if it is open
Juhachiro’s two public baths are called Kawano-se and Kawanone; the hotel also has a bath in a converted storehouse. Its official day-use plan currently lists adult admission at ¥1,500 for a 90-minute visit, with children aged two through elementary school at ¥700. Reception is cash-only, towels are extra, and the hotel may pause entry when busy. Tattoos are not accepted.
The real planning issue is the calendar. Juhachiro publishes specific day-use dates and time windows rather than promising a daily walk-in service. One current notice, for example, lists just a small number of openings across several weeks. Do not make it the anchor of a day trip until your date appears on the hotel’s own schedule.
Hotel Park: a simpler ticket and a view
Hotel Park’s usual day-use listing is 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., at ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for children aged three to twelve. The top-floor baths look toward Mount Kinka and Gifu Castle; the hotel also describes its spring as an iron-rich cold mineral spring that turns reddish after exposure to air.
That standard window is not a daily guarantee. The hotel posts rest days and special bathing hours on a separate schedule. If the bath is open, it is an easy match for a visit to Gifu Park or Kawaramachi. If your timing is tight, check the schedule before taking the bus up from the station area.
Gifu Grand Hotel: best for a specific time of day
The Grand Hotel is the clearest option if you want an early soak. Its bathing-only sessions are:

Towels, shampoo and body wash are provided. The public bath includes a sauna and a jacuzzi bath.
Its day-use rules are more detailed than a simple ticket check. The hotel does not admit guests with tattoos, and children aged seven or older cannot use the opposite-sex bath. Day-use availability may also be suspended or tickets may sell out, so call ahead if a missed bath would disrupt the rest of your day.
A practical way to choose
For an unhurried ryokan-style visit, start with Juhachiro’s dated schedule. If you want a lower-priced afternoon bath near the castle area, look at Hotel Park’s calendar. Choose Gifu Grand Hotel when its morning or afternoon window fits best, or when the sauna and included towels matter to you.
All three sit on the Nagara River side of Gifu rather than beside the main station. Use the hotel’s access directions to choose a bus or taxi; the last leg matters more than the short train ride from Nagoya.
