Inari-yu is a useful stop if you are around Hiroshima Port or Ujina and want a proper bath without spending half a day at a large spa. The draw is the price and the range of bathing options: an adult bath costs ¥480, and sauna access adds ¥200. That extra charge covers the towel used in the sauna.

It is a local sento, not a natural hot-spring resort. The baths include a waterfall-style shoulder bath, herbal bath, jet bath, plain bath, electric bath, two saunas and a cold plunge. The dry sauna is 80°C, the mist sauna 45°C and the cold bath 18°C; these are bathing-area temperatures, not spring-source figures.

What the ¥680 sauna visit includes

The sauna fee includes its own towel. Adult pricing:

ItemPrice
Bath¥480
Sauna add-on¥200
Bath and sauna¥680

The bathing area has more variety than the low admission might suggest. The waterfall bath directs water over the shoulders and back; the herbal bath and jet bath offer a change from the plain bath, while the electric bath uses a mild current. The operator lists both an electric-heated dry sauna set to 80°C and a humid mist sauna set to 45°C, alongside an 18°C cold plunge. The website does not describe the two sauna rooms as natural spring baths.

If you arrive without toiletries, each item and towel is sold separately. The facility does not list a bundle.

ExtraPrice
Shampoo or conditioner¥30 each
Body wash¥40
Small towel rental¥20
Bath towel¥100

For example, bath, sauna, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a small towel total ¥770.

A practical stop near the port

Inari-yu is at 2-5-2 Ujina-kaigan, Minami Ward. It is about a four-minute walk from Kaigan-dori tram stop or five minutes from Motoujina-guchi. The bathhouse has 11 parking spaces. If you are coming from Hiroshima Station, the tram is the straightforward public-transport option; check the current Hiroshima Electric Railway service before setting a tight connection around a ferry departure.

The facility is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and closes on the third Thursday of each month. Its published rules ask guests to wash before entering a shared bath, keep towels out of the water, and rinse the sauna sweat off before using the cold plunge. It also has a tatami rest area, sofas, massage chairs and drinks for sale, so there is somewhere to sit for a while after bathing.

Who will like it—and who should choose another bath

Inari-yu makes sense for travelers staying in Ujina, people passing through the port area, and anyone looking for a low-cost sauna visit rather than a hot-spring experience. The two sauna temperatures are a useful distinction: the dry room is the hotter option, while the mist room is milder and more humid.

If a confirmed natural spring is the reason you are going, choose a facility whose spring use is documented instead. Inari-yu’s official pages describe its baths and sauna but do not identify a natural hot spring. It also does not have an outdoor bath or the broad lounge and restaurant offering of a large day spa.
