Satorikan Day-Use Onsen: Agano River Views, Prices and the End of Evening Baths

Satorikan day bathing is listed 11 a.m.–3 p.m., last entry 2 p.m.; adult entry is ¥1,000 with a small towel included.

Satorikan suits a day visit built around the river view. Its public bathing area sits on an upper floor, with large windows looking out over the Agano River and surrounding hills. The ticket costs more than the cheapest Sakihana baths, but the outlook and a bookable private outdoor bath are the main reasons to choose it.

Day-use admission and the old evening schedule

The current dedicated day-use page lists bathing from 11 am to 3 pm, with last reception at 2 pm.

Adult admission is ¥1,000 and the child rate is ¥500; a small bathing towel is included. Crowding may lead the inn to stop admission before the listed end time, so confirm before travelling.

Older pages still show an evening bath from 6 to 9 pm. That session ended on March 1, 2025, when Satorikan changed its lodging service. For an ordinary day visit, use the current daytime window and do not plan around the old evening listing.

An upper-floor bath for river views

Satorikan’s two public bath areas, Hanakagami and Mizukagami, each have an outdoor bath and are switched between men’s and women’s use. The property’s private open-air baths have separate booking terms. A day visitor should not assume one ticket covers both public bath areas; the side available depends on the day’s assignment.

The hotel lists the public bath as 100% natural hot spring water, and its bath pages identify Sakihana Onsen well no. 6 at 54°C. That is the source temperature, not the water temperature you will experience in the bath. The outdoor and private baths are described as source-fed; the property does not publish every treatment detail for every individual pool.

Add a private bath only after confirming a slot

The dedicated day-use page offers a 50-minute private outdoor bath as an optional extra. Satorikan lists two private baths, one with a cypress tub and one with a ceramic tub; the official page gives the rate as ¥2,000 plus tax. The bath uses the hot spring source and looks toward the river. Slots depend on availability, so ask when arranging ordinary admission.

If you need a longer rest between trains, the day-use page also lists a three-hour guest room rental, separately priced and subject to availability. A standard admission ticket does not include the room.

Walking from the station

Satorikan is about a five-minute walk from JR Sakihana Station. The short route makes a train visit practical, but the return train is worth checking before you enter the bath. The no-car half-day guide maps the nearby battlefield monument and riverbank into a short visit; for the private-bath options at other inns, see the Sakihana private-bath comparison.
