Sakura-no-Yu in Yahiko: Hours, 2026 Prices and How to Get There

Check Sakura-no-Yu’s ¥1,100 adult entry, ¥650 weekday evening rate and weekday-only station shuttle; book the return ride at reception.

If you want to stay for a few hours after visiting Yahiko Shrine or climbing the mountain, Sakura-no-Yu is the local option built for it. The complex has several kinds of baths, places to eat and rest, and a stone sauna. It is a different proposition from a quick dip at an inn near the station.

A large bathing area, with one clear source-water claim

The facility lists an outdoor bath, individual barrel-shaped baths, reclining and seated baths, an indoor bath, a cold bath, a sauna, a footbath and the stone sauna. Its hot-spring page specifically identifies the large outdoor bath as free-flowing source water. The site also describes the facility as using 100% natural hot spring water, but does not give the same bath-by-bath flow details for every pool.

The latest analysis shown is from July 2023. It describes a sulfur- and chloride-rich sodium-calcium spring, with a source temperature of 44.5°C. That is the temperature at the source, not a fixed reading for each bathing pool.

Getting there from Yahiko Station

Sakura-no-Yu is about five minutes by taxi from JR Yahiko Station. Its weekday shuttle schedule is:

DirectionDeparture
Yahiko Station to Sakura-no-Yu10:40 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Sakura-no-Yu to Yahiko Station2:50 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.

Reserve a return seat at the front desk. There is no evening shuttle; take a taxi if you stay for the ¥650 evening rate.

The shuttle is weekday-only. Check the facility’s access page before travelling, especially around holidays or seasonal service changes. The published page does not make this a walk-from-the-station destination; if you are considering walking, check the route and conditions for your date.

A couple of practical rules

The facility does not admit guests with tattoos. Children in elementary school and older may not bathe with an adult of the opposite sex. Admission and rental prices are separate, so bring a towel if you want to keep the cost to the entry fee.

Sakura-no-Yu currently posts 10am–10pm hours and a 9:15pm last entry. Check its latest notice on the day of your visit for temporary closures or schedule changes.

For a station-side inn bath with a shorter day-use window and a bookable family bath, see the Kappo-no-Yado Sakuraya day-use guide. The Sakura-no-Yu vs Sakuraya comparison looks at the two side by side.
