Fuefuki’s City Onsen in 2026: Which Baths Are Open?

Fuefuki has four municipal hot-spring facilities, but two are closed for major renovation. For a day visit now, the choice is between Isawa Fureai Center Nagomi no Yu and Ichinomiya Momo no Sato Onsen. The other names you may find in older guides—Misaka no Yu and Yamayuri no Yu—are not current alternatives.

Nagomi no Yu is the practical pick for families

Nagomi reopened after a full renovation on October 1, 2025. The public bath has a broadened lukewarm pool, bubble and reclining baths, and a low-temperature sauna. It is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, with last admission at 8:30 pm; Wednesday is the regular closing day, shifted to the following day when it falls on a public holiday. The outside-city adult rate is ¥800.

The main reason to choose Nagomi is the private family bath. It costs ¥4,000 per room for two hours for visitors from outside Fuefuki. The bath uses a weakly alkaline simple spring, supplied directly from the source. The operator says it takes about an hour to fill, so call ahead rather than assuming it will be ready when you arrive. A baby bed is available by request.

There is an important rule for families with infants: babies who still wear diapers cannot use the shared public bath, but may use the private family bath. That makes the reservation option more than a privacy upgrade; it can determine whether this is the right facility for your group.

Momo no Sato has the outdoor setting

After rebuilding, Momo no Sato reopened on April 1, 2026. Admission for nonresidents is ¥850. It is open 10 am–9 pm, last admission 8:30 pm, and closes Thursdays (or the following day when Thursday is a holiday). The new building has indoor and outdoor baths, a cypress sauna, a lounge and a rest room. Fuefuki City describes the spring as an alkaline simple spring.

The outdoor bath looks toward the Southern Alps, though visibility depends on weather. Food is not served, there is no dining area, and bringing food inside is not allowed. Drinks can be consumed in the rest room. If you plan to eat after bathing, make that a stop elsewhere in town.

Don’t plan around the two closed facilities

Misaka no Yu is undergoing a major renovation and remains closed. Fuefuki City’s current notice says the work began April 1, 2026 and expects roughly a year of closure; the hot-spring vending stand beside it is unavailable through March 31, 2027. Older pages describing its rose garden, pools or saunas refer to the former facility, not a currently visitable bath.

Yamayuri no Yu is closed from October 1, 2025 through the end of March 2027 while its bath building is rebuilt. The city has not announced a confirmed reopening date beyond that planned period. Treat both as unavailable until the city posts a reopening notice.

For a simple decision: book Nagomi if you need the private bath or are travelling with a diapered infant; choose Momo no Sato for an outdoor soak and a newer building. The ¥50 difference matters less than those practical distinctions.
