Yorimichi no Yu in Tsuru: A Convenient Stop by the Station

Mt Fuji seen from Yamanashi Prefecture

Yorimichi no Yu is almost beside Tsuru-shi Station: the operator gives a one-minute walk from the Fujikyuko Line platform. That makes it much easier to fit into a rail trip than the mountain baths that require a bus or taxi for the last leg. By car, the Tsuru IC is about two minutes away; the facility lists 110 free parking spaces.

The normal day-use admission is ¥1,300 on weekdays and ¥1,500 on weekends and public holidays. The operator’s renovation notice, posted August 5, says the rock-bathing area will be opened free of charge while renovation work is under way, and that the hotel annex has been unavailable since August 25. No end date is given for the temporary arrangement. Check the latest notice before budgeting for the rock bath or booking accommodation.

A short soak or an afternoon indoors?

For a quick stop, standard admission covers the baths and sauna; you do not need the rock-bathing area to make the visit worthwhile. If you have several hours, the facility also has a restaurant, manga and lounging areas. The rock-bath and manga area normally costs an extra ¥550, and children in elementary school or younger cannot use it. During the current renovation period, the free-access notice overrides that standard fee for as long as the temporary arrangement remains in effect.

The main bath is open from 10 am to 11 pm, with last entry at 10 pm. The facility’s home page currently lists Monday, October 19, 2026, as a closure for maintenance. Check the latest calendar if visiting on another date, since renovation work may affect facilities beyond the day-use baths.

What the source-flowing label means here

The operator identifies the spring as a sodium-calcium sulfate hot spring and lists a source temperature of 32.9°C. Its source-flowing bath is warmed; that is different from bathing in water straight from the source at 32.9°C. Other pools and the sauna have separate conditions, so do not treat the source temperature as the temperature of every bath.

There is also an important family restriction: children who still wear diapers cannot use the public baths, though a baby bath is available. The rock-bathing and manga area is off limits to elementary-school-age children and younger. The operator’s posted rules prohibit tattoos, including tattoo stickers, so this is not a suitable stop if you need a tattoo-friendly facility.

Getting there

From Kawaguchiko Station, the operator gives about 40 minutes on the Fujikyuko Line to Tsuru-shi Station. Trains are less frequent than city transit, so check your return connection before settling in for a long visit. Drivers can use the Tsuru IC and the free car park.
