Aoshima Six-Onsen Pass: Is the 2026 Ticket Worth Buying?

See what the 2026 Aoshima Six-Onsen Pass covers, compare the six baths and work out whether three visits cost less than paying separately.

The fourth Aoshima Six-Onsen Pass can save money if you plan to use three regular day baths; with only two stops, paying separately may cost less. Jizoan and Honoka-no-yu Kaeda work differently: the pass only discounts their reserved private baths, so a visit there still has a room charge.

There are six venues, but they do not offer six interchangeable free entries. Four accept the pass for ordinary day-use bathing; the other two apply a discount to a bookable private-bath session. That distinction is what decides whether the ticket saves money.

The 2026 pass rules

TicketPriceWhat it covers
Standard pass¥1,650 (about HK$82 / NT$336)Three participating facilities
Lodging pass¥1,100 (about HK$55 / NT$224)The bath at your participating lodging property, plus two other facilities
TermCurrent details
Use periodSeptember 7, 2026–January 31, 2027
Buy byJanuary 24, 2027 to be safe; sales notices do not agree on the final day
BlackoutDecember 26, 2026–January 3, 2027, plus each facility’s own closed or restricted dates
EligibilityJunior-high-school students and older

Miyazaki City and the Aoshima Onsen Association list sales through January 31, while ANA and Miyazaki Shirahama Campsite give January 24 as the sales deadline. The use period ends on January 31 either way. Anyone who needs a pass should buy by January 24 rather than count on the later date.

The lodging pass is only available to guests buying it at their participating property. It works when that stay already fits the plan and two more baths are realistic; it does not include a private-room fee at Jizoan or Honoka-no-yu.

Konohana-no-yu¥500 (about HK$25 / NT$102)Day-use admission; pass holders also get a towel or a ¥300 return-visit couponThe 32.7°C source bath is unheated; the larger bath is heated spring water
ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki¥1,100 (about HK$55 / NT$224); its current coupon lists ¥800 (about HK$40 / NT$163)Day-use admissionCoupon terms can exclude busy periods; tattoos are prohibited

Hotel Aoshima CinqmaleWeekdays ¥800 (about HK$40 / NT$163); weekends and holidays ¥1,000 (about HK$50 / NT$204); designated dates ¥1,100 (about HK$55 / NT$224)Day-use public bathThe public bath is indoors; tattoos and tattoo stickers are prohibited
JizoanFrom ¥3,500 (about HK$175 / NT$712) for two people, 60 minutes¥550 off per pass holder, with tea and a snackReservation required; the session is not free
Honoka-no-yu KaedaFrom ¥2,500 (about HK$125 / NT$509) per room, 55 minutes¥500 off per pass holder and a towelEvery room is private; booking and transport are separate costs

The ¥300 Konohana-no-yu coupon is for a later visit, not a discount on the pass itself. At ANA, compare the pass with the coupon only if that offer applies on your date. Cinqmale’s higher designated-date fare can also change the size of the saving.

Does the pass beat paying at the door?

Use the prices that apply to your date, then compare the total with the standard pass. These examples use adult admission and exclude travel and meals.

Three-bath planSeparate admissionSaving with the pass
ANA standard + Shinwa-no-yu + Cinqmale weekday¥2,600 (about HK$130 / NT$529)¥950 (about HK$47 / NT$193)
ANA coupon + Shinwa-no-yu + Cinqmale weekday¥2,300 (about HK$115 / NT$468)¥650 (about HK$32 / NT$132)
Konohana-no-yu + Shinwa-no-yu + Cinqmale weekday¥2,000 (about HK$100 / NT$407)¥350 (about HK$17 / NT$71)
Konohana-no-yu + Shinwa-no-yu only¥1,200 (about HK$60 / NT$244)No pass: buying both separately costs ¥450 (about HK$22 / NT$92) less

The first combination has the widest margin at standard prices, but that does not automatically make it the best day out. Cinqmale is on the headland and less straightforward without a car. With the smaller saving, even a short taxi ride could cost more than the pass saves. If only two baths appeal, paying separately is cheaper than buying a third visit you do not want.

Private baths need a different calculation. The pass discount comes off the reservation price; it does not pay for the room. Jizoan’s example below shows the amount due at the venue for two pass holders, including tea and a snack. That payment is separate from buying the passes.

Private bathPublished room pricePass benefit and other chargesDue at the venue before pass purchase
Jizoan, two people / 60 minutesFrom ¥3,500 (about HK$175 / NT$712)¥550 off per holder; ¥150 bathing tax per person¥2,700 (about HK$135 / NT$549), including tea and a snack

Confirm the total for your date and party before using one of the pass’s three slots at Honoka-no-yu.

Choosing baths by location, not just ticket value

For a car-free day, the easiest rail-side pair is Shinwa-no-yu near Aoshima Station and ANA or Jizoan near Kodomonokuni Station. Jizoan is about an eight-minute walk from Kodomonokuni. Cinqmale sits farther out on the headland; Konohana-no-yu and Honoka-no-yu are inland in Kaeda. The pass covers bath access, not the cost of getting between these locations.

The Aoshima and Kaeda car-free route guide looks at the transfers in more detail. For a side-by-side look at the public baths, see the Aoshima day-use onsen comparison.

Bath rules still belong to each facility

ANA, Shinwa-no-yu and Cinqmale prohibit guests with tattoos; the pass does not override those rules. Jizoan and Honoka-no-yu do not list a tattoo exception for private bookings, so ask before reserving if you have a tattoo.

Water temperatures and supply methods also vary by bath. Konohana-no-yu’s source bath uses spring water at about 32.7°C, while the larger bath is heated. Cinqmale lists 44°C as its source temperature, not the temperature of the pool. Shinwa-no-yu describes its outdoor bath and private bath as flow-through; ANA specifically identifies its waterfall shower as source-flow. Those details should not be generalized to every bath in a venue.
