Bourou NOGUCHI Noboribetsu: Which Suite and Onsen Setup Fits?

Every room at Bourou NOGUCHI Noboribetsu is a suite with a private panoramic bath supplied by the hot spring. The practical question is which room size you will use: the 50 m² Junior Suite already has the in-room onsen, while the larger categories add space, a different layout or a higher floor—not access to better water.

The stay also comes with a separate public bathing area, including an outdoor source-flow bath, a dry sauna and a cold plunge. Two constraints deserve an early check: guests aged 12 or younger are not accepted, and there is no hotel pickup from JR Noboribetsu Station.

Start with the room, not the onsen label

The current room page lists five suite types. All are twin rooms except the Japanese-Western Luxury Suite, which has tatami space as well as western beds.

For two people who mainly want to bathe privately in the room, the Junior Suite meets the core requirement. Move up to 70 or 100 m² if you expect to spend time in the sitting area, need the Japanese-Western layout, or specifically want the Executive Suite’s floor and positioning. Don’t pay a larger-room premium on the assumption that the spring bath only comes with an upgrade.

Room rates vary with the date and meal plan; the property does not publish one fixed nightly rate for these categories. Compare the same dates, number of guests, dinner plan and cancellation terms, then confirm that the booking names the room you intend to reserve.

What the shared bath adds

The private bath in your room handles the anytime, no-sharing part of the stay. The public bath is where the additional features are: a Japanese garden view, an outdoor bath explicitly described as source-flowing, a dry sauna and a cold plunge. The men’s and women’s bath sides do not rotate during the stay.

The hotel’s current pages differ on when the public bath opens. The spa page lists hours from 3 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next day; the FAQ says bathing is available from the 2 p.m. check-in time to 10 a.m. If using the public bath right after arrival matters, check with the hotel.

The in-room bath is separate, but the published pages do not give room-by-room temperature or supply-method details. They confirm that spring water is piped to every room; that alone does not establish that each bath is 100% free-flowing.

The hotel classifies its water as a sulfur-containing sodium-calcium chloride spring, hydrogen-sulfide type. The official analysis lists a source temperature of 46.4°C, pH 5.3 and natural discharge of 607 litres per minute. Dinner, breakfast and dietary limits

Dinner is a Japanese-Western kaiseki course combining Japanese cooking with French influences, served in private dining rooms. The current meal page lists dinner starts at 5:30, 6:00 and 7:30 p.m., with service ending at 10 p.m. Breakfast starts between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30. The older FAQ lists fewer dinner starts and an 11 a.m. breakfast closing time, so use the meal page as the current guide and confirm your plan before arrival.

The hotel asks guests with specified food allergies to notify its reservation centre at least three days ahead. Its policy also warns that meals are prepared in a shared kitchen, so cross-contact cannot be ruled out. The hotel says it cannot accommodate fish or seafood allergies, wheat or soy allergies, vegetarian or vegan meals, or shojin cuisine; for those needs, it recommends a room-only plan rather than promising a menu substitution.

Getting there: book the shuttle early or plan the last uphill leg

The hotel’s shuttle runs between Sapporo Station and the property, and between New Chitose Airport and the property. It must be booked directly with the hotel at least seven days ahead; seats can sell out, and a low number of reservations may mean the hotel substitutes other transport. The published schedule and one-way fares checked on September 28, 2026 are:

Treat the timetable and fares as date-sensitive, and confirm the bus separately from the room reservation. The hotel FAQ explicitly says it does not provide pickup from JR Noboribetsu Station. Take the local bus uphill to Noboribetsu Onsen Bus Terminal, then allow about 15 minutes to walk up the gradual slope or take a taxi. From Noboribetsu East Interchange, the hotel estimates about 25 minutes by car and offers free parking.

Check-in is currently listed as 3–7 p.m. and checkout by 11 a.m., although the hotel notes that a specific plan may differ. If you expect to arrive later, contact the hotel before booking.
