Ebisu-yu sits between Fuse and Shoji, just beyond the Fuse shopping street. Showa-era pop songs play inside, and the bathhouse packs in more variety than its neighbourhood setting might suggest: dry and steam saunas, a carbonated bath, soft water, medicinal and radon-labelled baths, plus an outdoor pool. The Osaka Public Bathhouse Association describes it as a gathering place for customers of different ages.

Dry heat, steam and the bath layout

Ebisu-yu has a charcoal dry sauna and a steam sauna, which lets visitors choose between dry and humid heat. The dry sauna costs extra, but no current surcharge is posted. A June 2026 visitor report paid about ¥100 and received a sauna towel; ask at the counter for today’s price. The operator does not publish a fixed sauna temperature.

The Ikuno bathhouse association puts the women’s bathing area at about one and a half times the men’s floor area. That does not mean the two sides have identical layouts or sauna equipment. The facility also has a cold bath, electric and jet baths, reclining tubs, drinks and massage equipment.

One pool uses equipment-generated carbonated water. It is a bath feature, not a natural carbon-dioxide spring; no natural-spring analysis is published for Ebisu-yu.

The June 2026 visitor report quoted shampoo and body wash at ¥50 each; that dated price is not a current supply guarantee. For an evening around Fuse, the regular baths are enough for a short stop, while the sauna surcharge is separate. The building’s 1958 firewood-heated boiler is a historical detail; the bath is not a natural hot spring or a wood-fired sauna.

For auto-loyly and a more modern sauna setup, compare the Megane Onsen guide; for Sunday morning bathing and an outdoor bath, see Yagara Onsen. Browse the Ikuno sento guide for more neighbourhood choices.
