RAKU SPA 1010 Kanda: Which Ticket Makes Sense for a Tokyo Stop?
Compare RAKU SPA 1010’s ¥600 bath ticket, ¥1,290 weekday sauna plan and ¥2,090 ten-hour course; the lounge is only in the longest plan.
The ticket choice at RAKU SPA 1010 Kanda is really a choice about time and floors. If you only want a bath, the ¥600 sento plan gives you three hours. Add the sauna with the three-hour sauna plan. The ten-hour RAKU SPA course is for people who will use the fourth-floor lounge, manga, coworking seats or dining—not a small upgrade to the same bath visit.
Three tickets, three kinds of visit
| Course | Adult price | Time limit | Main access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sento | ¥600 | 3 hours | Bath floors; towels are extra |
| Sauna | ¥1,290 weekdays / ¥1,390 holidays | 3 hours | Bath and sauna |
| RAKU SPA | ¥2,090 weekdays / ¥2,390 holidays | 10 hours | All floors, towels and indoor wear |
The fourth floor is reserved for the RAKU SPA course. It has more than 8,000 manga and magazines, coworking seats with outlets, hammocks, sofa seating and recliners. If you plan to work or spend a good part of the day there, the longer course has a clear purpose. If you only want to shower, bathe and continue to Akihabara, it is easy to pay for a lounge you will barely use.
The bath area itself is compact: an artificial carbonated bath, a rotating bath, a cold bath and a far-infrared sauna. There is no outdoor bath. RAKU SPA 1010 is not a natural hot spring; the carbonated bath is an artificial bath, despite the onsen-like wording sometimes used to describe this feature.
Towels and late-night charges change the maths
The sento course does not include towels. The towel choices are:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Face towel | ¥250 |
| Bath towel | ¥250 |
| Both towels together | ¥450 |
With the sento ticket and both towels, the total is ¥1,050. The sauna course includes a face towel; the full RAKU SPA course includes both towels and indoor wear.
The building is open 11 a.m.–8 a.m. the next morning. Sento and sauna guests cannot use the bath from 1–5 a.m. The ten-hour course can cover that window, with a late-night surcharge of ¥2,000 on weekdays and Sundays or ¥2,500 on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves. There are no guest rooms. Under-18s cannot enter from 10 p.m.–5 a.m., even with a guardian.
The dining pub closes before the facility does: its food last order is 11 p.m. and drink last order 11:30 p.m. Bring that into the plan if you are counting on a meal during a long visit.
Location and entry rules
The facility is about a five-minute walk from Ochanomizu, Shin-Ochanomizu, Awajicho and Ogawamachi stations; Kanda Station is around ten minutes away. The location works well after a day around Jimbocho, Akihabara or Ochanomizu.
Tattoos are not permitted. Guests cannot leave and re-enter before settling the bill, and outside food and drink are not allowed. For a conventional neighbourhood sento with a less extensive ticket system, start with our Tokyo sento first-visit guide.
