Yu-Topia Kirishima: A Sauna Circuit near Hamaotsu

Yu-Topia Kirishima is close to central Otsu and only a short walk from Biwako-Hamaotsu Station. Otsu City lists its hours as 3:30–10:30 p.m. The available listing gives a weekly closing day but does not make the day easy to confirm from the source material; call ahead if your visit falls on a public holiday.
Adult admission is listed at ¥490. Recent dated records put bathing plus sauna, including a large towel, at ¥640, suggesting a sauna supplement of about ¥150. Another current database lists ¥160 for the supplement.
Allow about ¥650 for the combined ticket and check the counter’s price board. No reliable price is published for an ordinary towel rental; bring a small towel if you are not taking the sauna package.
The sauna cycle is the main draw: a dry sauna, cold bath and semi-outdoor space for cooling down. Recent use notes describe the sauna around 80–95°C and the cold bath around 17–18°C, but these are visitor readings, not permanent specifications. The bathing area also has an outdoor herbal bath, electric and jet baths, with seasonal herbs that change over time.
The city lists Kirishima as an ordinary public bath. The current material does not provide an onsen analysis, spring classification or pH, and reports of well water do not make the bath a natural hot spring.
