NU-LAND Sagamiyu in Ota: Tokyo’s Black-Spring Bath Near Haneda

Near Haneda, NU-LAND Sagamiyu has black-spring baths and sauna. Entry is ¥600; a ¥900 sauna set includes towels, and the all-facility ticket adds lounge access.

Basic bathing is ¥600; a ¥900 sauna set includes towels. The higher all-facility ticket adds access to the second-floor rest and dining areas.

At NU-LAND Sagamiyu, the useful choice is less “black water or sauna?” than “quick bath or half-day stop?” The ¥600 basic ticket covers the first-floor baths, including indoor and outdoor black-spring pools. A ¥900 set adds sauna and towels. Pay more for the all-facility plan only if you expect to use the second-floor lounge and dining spaces.

Interior of NU-LAND Sagamiyu

Black spring, with several other baths around it

The spring known as Sagamiyu is a dark-coloured natural cold mineral spring, not a naturally hot source. The source is listed at about 22.3°C, pH 8.2 and 180 litres per minute in a transcribed analysis record; the bathing pools are heated. The official tourism listing describes eight types of baths, including the black-spring indoor and outdoor baths, jets, electric bath, reclining bath, bubbles and a cold plunge.

“Natural spring” does not mean every pool is untreated source water. The available analysis record lists heating, circulation and filtration, and chlorine disinfection. The dark spring is real; a blanket claim that all pools are 100% source-fed would go beyond the published treatment details.

Pick the ticket around your visit

Adult ticketPriceWhat it covers
Bath only¥600First-floor bathing area
Towel set¥750Bath plus towels
Sauna set¥900Bath, sauna and towels
All-facility, weekday¥1,250Bath, sauna, towels, indoor wear and second-floor facilities
All-facility, weekend/public holiday¥1,550Same all-facility access

The all-facility ticket is aimed at a longer visit, with the second-floor rest area and dining facilities. NU-LAND is open 10 a.m.–11 p.m.; on Tuesdays, the baths and sauna remain open but the second-floor rest facilities are closed. The Ota Tourism Association lists the facility as irregularly closed, so check before travelling on a date when access matters.

The ¥600 ticket is enough if your plan is a soak and departure. The ¥900 sauna set is the more practical choice for a sauna visit because it includes towels. If you want to eat, change into indoor wear and stay upstairs, compare the all-facility price with your expected time there rather than assuming the second floor is part of basic admission.

Getting there from Haneda or central Tokyo

Zoshiki Station on the Keikyu Line is the nearest stop: the Ota Tourism Association says about three minutes on foot, while GO TOKYO gives about five. That makes NU-LAND a possible detour for travellers with a few spare hours near Haneda, not an airport-terminal bath. For a short layover, an airport-based bath is more practical than leaving the terminal area.

The facility has parking, but the free-parking allowance varies by ticket and current rules. Ask the front desk for the day’s conditions instead of relying on older online figures. Tattoo guidance is also inconsistent across public sources; if it affects your decision, call ahead.
