All nine rooms have a semi-open-air bath supplied with source water, with a view toward Mount Yufu. Room sizes range from 25 to 61 square metres, so the meaningful upgrade is more space, a different bed setup or a detached room—not the basic bathing privilege.

The 61-square-metre detached room is the only category that changes the feel of the stay substantially: it sits farther into the garden and has two double beds. For two people who expect to spend most of the day out, a 25- or 32-square-metre room already includes the same bath. The larger room earns its keep if you want more time indoors, have bulky luggage or are sharing the room with more people.
Kirara describes its spring as a weakly alkaline simple hot spring and says its room baths use 100% source-fed water. The property does not publish a fixed temperature for every room tub. If you are sensitive to hot water, ask whether staff can advise on the bath in your room rather than relying on the source temperature alone.
Dinner has a real arrival deadline
The dinner plan is a full course meal served in the dining room. Dinner service starts at 6 p.m.; guests with dinner included should arrive by 6, even though the general check-in window runs later. If you are coming from Fukuoka or fitting in Lake Kinrinko and Yunotsubo Street first, plan backward from the meal. For a late or uncertain arrival, a breakfast-only or room-only plan may be less stressful.
The official access page lists a free station pickup between 3 and 4:30 p.m., reserved by 3 p.m. the previous day. The inn is about five minutes from Yufuin Station by taxi. There are free parking spaces for drivers. Children under 12 are not accepted, according to the inn’s FAQ; confirm the booking terms if a platform shows a different age label.
