At many Yufuin inns, a room with its own bath is a costly upgrade. Yufusan takes that decision off the table: all ten rooms have a semi-open-air bath, so you can compare the view, room plan, and total price without paying extra just to bathe privately.

Pick a side of the building, not a bath category

The room list separates mountain-side and town-side twin rooms. The inn describes its rooms as having views of Mount Yufu, though the outlook differs by position; check the photos for the room name you’re booking if a particular view matters. Both sides include the same basic draw: a bath attached to your room. Current room listings describe the bath as a Yufuin hot spring.

The mountain-side rooms are the natural starting point if the mountain view is why you chose Yufuin. Town-side rooms may suit you better if you want a different outlook or find a roomier layout at a better price on your dates. Room dimensions and plan names can vary between booking pages, so compare the exact listing rather than relying on a broad category label.

Meal plan and transport shape the stay

Room-only and meal-included plans appear on current booking pages, but the available menus and terms depend on the date. If you book without meals, decide how you’ll handle dinner before arrival. The inn’s courtesy car is for station transfers, not a ride into town for a restaurant; guests arriving by train or bus need to contact the inn by the day before to arrange pickup. Don’t assume a walk back from central Yufuin will be convenient at night.

Yufusan is about ten minutes by car from JR Yufuin Station and around fifteen minutes from Yufuin IC. The inn lists 30 free parking spaces, with no reservation required. Check the current meal plan and transfer arrangement before you pay, especially if your arrival is late in the afternoon.

Check-in starts at 3 p.m.; the stated latest check-in is 10 p.m. Check-out is 10 a.m. The official site asks guests to contact the inn if they expect to arrive later than planned.
