Mito Yuruumu: Sauna Tickets, Overnight Hours and Bus Access

Compare Mito Yuruumu’s timed, unlimited and morning tickets, tower saunas, overnight fee, 1–5 a.m. bath closure and bus access.

Spa & Gohan Yuruumu is a large bath and sauna complex in Mito that stays open overnight. Its most important detail is also easy to miss: the building may remain open until morning, but bathing stops from 1 to 5 a.m. Choose a ticket based on whether you want one sauna session, a half-day with food and rest, or an early-morning soak. The facility explicitly says its water is not a natural hot spring.

A short ticket can get expensive once you add towels

The timed “sento course” comes in three lengths. Adult weekday prices and common add-ons are:

OptionWeekday price
60 minutes¥750
90 minutes¥1,050
120 minutes¥1,350
Weekend, public holiday or designated-date surchargeAdd ¥100
Facility clothing rental¥300
Towel rental¥300

Clothing and towels are not included. If you stay past your booked time, the ticket moves to the next time tier.

On a weekday, a 60-minute visit with both rentals comes to ¥1,350, the same as the 120-minute ticket without rentals. Allowing two hours gives you more room to shower, change and use the tower sauna without watching the clock.

The unlimited Yuruumu Course costs ¥1,800 on weekdays and ¥1,900 on weekends or designated days. It includes facility clothing, a face towel and bath towel, and suits a longer visit with separate sauna sessions, a meal or time in the rest area. The restaurant runs 11 a.m.–10 p.m., with last orders at 9:30 p.m.; its hours are shorter than the bath’s.

The morning bath is a fixed 5–9 a.m. window, with last admission at 8:30 a.m.; it is not a 60-minute ticket.

Weekday¥750
Weekend or designated date¥850

From October 3, 2026, the ¥100 LINE-member discount no longer applies on weekends or public holidays. The weekday discount remains; children and morning-bath tickets are excluded.

Staying late does not mean bathing all night

Yuruumu is open from 10 a.m. until 9 a.m. the next day. Bathing and sauna use pause from 1 to 5 a.m.

Overnight stay in the facilityWeekdayWeekend or designated date
Additional charge after 1 a.m.¥2,100¥2,300

A weekday unlimited pass plus the overnight charge totals ¥3,900 before food. The charge covers a place to rest inside the facility; it is not a private room, and bathing resumes at 5 a.m. Yuruumu’s separate lodging building has its own booking and prices.

The tower sauna is the draw; the spring is not

The tower sauna has eight levels in the men’s bath and seven in the women’s, with hotter benches higher up. Start on a lower level if you are unfamiliar with the layout. Yuruumu also lists herb and salt saunas, plus an outdoor herb steam sauna.

The sauna page gives conflicting cold-bath counts: its heading says four, while the description names three. The outdoor pool may serve as a cold bath seasonally, so the published count is not consistent.

Bathing options include a concentrated carbonated bath, herbal bath, jet pools and outdoor pools. Yuruumu says it has no natural hot spring, so it does not publish spring-source temperature or flow figures. The carbonated bath is a facility feature, not a natural spring record.

Getting there and checking the rules

From Mito Station, take a bus from North Exit stop 6; the ride is about 35 minutes. The facility lists Kokudo Kotsusho-mae, Kencho-minami and Rokubanike Danchi-mae as nearby stops. Check the bus company’s current timetable for the exact stop and return connection before leaving the station.

Tattoos and intoxication are grounds for refusing entry, and outside food and drink are not allowed. Children under three cannot bathe, though they may use the shower. The facility’s pages disagree about the mixed-bath age limit: one uses age seven, while another uses elementary-school status or 120 cm. If visiting with a child of another gender, plan for the stricter limit and confirm with the operator. Under-18s without a guardian cannot stay after 10 p.m.

For a basic explanation of bathhouse types, see sento, onsen and super sento. For a natural-source bath, start with the guide to onsen spring records.
