Tamayura no Yu in Miyazaki City: Hours, Bath Day and What Is Actually Hot Spring Water

Check Tamayura no Yu’s Miyazaki day-use hours and fees, the ¥800 Bath Day on the 26th, and which baths use hot-spring water.

Checked: September 30, 2026

Tamayura no Yu is a convenient city soak with a riverside setting, but one detail changes how to judge it: the outdoor bath is the hot spring; the indoor bath is not. If you are coming for the water itself, start outside rather than assuming every pool in the hotel’s bathing area is spring-fed.

What the bath includes

The spring is a weakly alkaline sodium chloride hot spring containing iodine. The hotel lists an indoor large bath, an open-air bath and a sauna; sauna use starts at 3 p.m. The natural spring water is used in the outdoor bath only. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers and basic grooming products are available.

The hotel does not accept bathers with tattoos under its current rules. Mixed bathing is not allowed when a child is eight or older, or 120 cm or taller. Visitors who have been drinking should not use the bath. These are operational rules worth checking before a family or group visit, particularly if you were relying on a third-party tourism page with different wording.

Getting there and setting expectations

Miyazaki Kanko Hotel is on the Oyodo River in central Miyazaki. It is about five minutes by car from Miyazaki Station, around a 20-minute walk, and about 15 minutes from the airport by car. The bath is part of a hotel, not a standalone day spa with private bathing rooms; the listed product is a shared public bath.

For a lower-cost bath elsewhere in the city, compare the Miyazaki City day-use onsen guide. If your plans are already on the coast, the Aoshima day-onsen guide covers a different bathing area.
