Kansuirou Day Use in Murasugi Onsen: Meal Plans, Group Size and Bathing
Kansuirou has no bath-only day pass: meal plans run in daytime or evening for groups of six or more, with seasonal kaiseki from ¥7,700 plus bathing tax.
Kansuirou is a historic inn in Murasugi Onsen, but its day-use offer is closer to a private-room meal gathering with a bath than a casual hot-spring stop. That distinction changes the budget and the group you need. If you only want to soak, the nearby communal bath or another ryokan is a better match.
A day visit means booking food as well as a bath
Kansuirou offers two day-use sessions. Both plans include a meal, a private room or event space, hot-spring access and towels.

The inn does not publish a clear current menu price for the evening session; confirm it when enquiring.
There is no ordinary pay-at-the-desk bath-only option for day visitors. The free private bath described on the website is a benefit for overnight guests, not something to assume is included in a day meal plan. If a private bath is important to your group, ask whether any separate arrangement is possible when you enquire.
What the spring is like
Kansuirou uses Murasugi’s Yakushi-no-yu No. 3 source, which emerges at about 25.3°C. The inn says its bathing pools are heated and circulated, without dilution, while fresh source water continues to be added. That is useful context if you are comparing spring-handling claims: the water is not kept at source temperature, and the bath is not described as wholly unheated flow-through.
The inn’s setting is a major part of the visit. Its grounds cover roughly 6,000 tsubo, with historic detached buildings and garden paths. This is a slower lunch-and-bath outing, not a large super-sento with many themed pools or a standard open-air bath complex.
Transport for a group
Suibara is the rail connection for Murasugi Onsen, followed by the Agano City bus toward Gozu Onsenkyo. Kansuirou says groups of ten or more can request a minibus transfer; service within Agano City is free, while trips from outside the city incur a charge. Confirm the pickup point and fee with the inn when booking rather than treating transport as automatic.
