Minoh Yumoto Suisyun or Minoh Spa Garden? Check your travel date first
Compare Minoh Yumoto Suisyun and Minoh Spa Garden by hours, fees and access. Spa Garden is scheduled to reopen Oct. 1, 2026; check the date before travelling.
The first question is the date. As of September 30, 2026, Minoh Spa Garden remains closed for renovation and is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, October 1. Minoh Yumoto Suisyun is operating. After the reopening, the two become a real choice: a lower-cost bathhouse with long hours, or a higher-priced resort-style facility where you can spend much of the day.
Before October 1, only Suisyun is open
If you are travelling on or before September 30, plan around Suisyun. The official operator lists October 1 as Spa Garden’s reopening date; its new admission prices and facility information describe the post-renovation offer, not something available before then. Check the official notice again before setting out in case the schedule changes.
Suisyun opens earlier on weekends and holidays, with its late last admission making it an option after an evening out. Body wash and shampoo are provided; a towel set costs extra. Its men’s Milky Bath was restored on September 29 after a temporary replacement with a magnesium bath; the women’s bath had remained in service. Check the latest notice for maintenance changes.

What changes when Spa Garden reopens?
Spa Garden is easier to justify for a longer visit: day admission covers a broader facility with bathing, a relaxation area, dining and other entertainment.
| Admission | Weekday | Weekend/public holiday | Designated busy day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spa Garden day admission | ¥2,420 | ¥2,860 | ¥3,190 |
| Spa Garden entry after 5 p.m. | ¥2,090 | ¥2,090 | ¥2,090 |
Bathing tax is charged separately. Spa Garden includes towels; Suisyun charges separately for a rental set.
| Rock-bathing add-on | Weekday | Weekend/public holiday | Wednesday offer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Suisyun | ¥800 | ¥900 | — |
| Spa Garden | ¥660 | ¥880 | ¥440 |
The cheaper add-on does not necessarily make the full day cheaper if you plan to eat and stay longer.
Spa Garden’s daytime entry runs 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; the night discount starts at 5 p.m. Check its current guide for closing and last-entry times before planning a late visit. The private family bath is not spring water and must be booked on the day, after entering.
| Private family bath | Current terms |
|---|---|
| Price | ¥3,850 for two hours |
| Reservation | Same-day, after facility entry |

Choose by how you want to spend the day
Suisyun is a practical pick for a one- or two-hour soak, a weekend morning visit or bathing after dinner. It opens at 6 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; Spa Garden’s published day-use hours start later.
Suisyun is also clearer on its spring details: the operator identifies the source as Minoh Bijin no Yu, gives a source temperature of 26.5°C and says the water is heated, with dilution as needed. Its basic admission is substantially lower than Spa Garden’s day rate.
Spa Garden makes more sense if you want the bath to anchor a half-day, need a private room for a family or couple, or are travelling with people who want space to eat and unwind outside the gender-separated baths. The trade-off is the higher admission, and the family bath itself is not natural spring water. It is booked in person after entry, costs ¥3,850 for two hours and has no advance phone or online reservation.
Both locations are reachable without a car. Suisyun is five minutes from Minoh-Semba-Handai-mae and also lists free shuttle buses from Senri-Chuo and Kita-Senri. Spa Garden is about five minutes from Hankyu Minoh and lists a shuttle from Minoh-Kayano. The locations suit different plans: Suisyun is a straightforward trip north from Osaka, while Spa Garden pairs more naturally with the Hankyu Minoh area. Check the actual shuttle timetable and pickup point, since neither trip is a rail-to-door connection.
Spring water and tattoo rules are not interchangeable
Suisyun publishes a spring source, source temperature and its heating/dilution method. Spa Garden also describes its spring as heated, diluted and circulated, but do not transfer Suisyun’s 26.5°C figure or source name to it.
Their tattoo policies differ. Suisyun does not admit people with tattoos, tattoo stickers or body paint. Spa Garden prohibits tattoos as a rule but allows entry when its paid cover stickers, each 6.5 by 10.5 centimetres, completely cover them; the official guide sets limits, so check that page before relying on the exception.
Choose by the sort of day you want
| Your plan | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A Saturday morning bath | Suisyun | Opens at 6 a.m. |
| A lower entrance fee or late soak | Suisyun | ¥1,000–¥1,100; bath area runs until 1:45 a.m. |
| A long family outing with more than bathing | Spa Garden | Dining, relaxation and entertainment are part of the larger complex |
| Private family bathing | Spa Garden | Same-day private family bath, charged separately |
| Published spring-source details | Suisyun | Source name, source temperature and treatment are available |
| Tattoo access | Neither without checking rules | Suisyun refuses tattoos; Spa Garden’s paid-cover exception has strict limits |
The baths are separate businesses, not two branches sharing one admission or spring. If you are comparing them on October 1, check Spa Garden’s actual first-day schedule and the operator’s conflicting opening-time pages before travelling.
