Shiramine Onsen Soyu: Hours, Prices and the Mountain Setting
Shiramine Soyu has indoor and outdoor baths plus a sauna in Hakusan’s mountain settlement. Adult admission rises from ¥750 to ¥900 in October 2026.
Adult admission is ¥750 through September 2026. The posted rate rises to ¥900 from October.
Shiramine Onsen Soyu belongs in a day around Shiramine village, the Hakusan foothills or a mountain outing. It is a long way from central Kanazawa for a quick dip, but right in the settlement if you are already exploring the area. Its outdoor baths and mountain-village setting are a different proposition from a roadside local bath.

| Visitor | Through September 2026 | From October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | ¥750 | ¥900 |
| Primary-school child | ¥360 | ¥450 |
| Child aged three or older | ¥260 | ¥300 |
The new rates are published by the Hakusan tourism association. If your visit is in October or later, budget for the higher column. A current towel price list is not clearly published, so bring your own small and bath towels.
Weekday hours are noon–9pm; on weekends and national holidays, the bath opens at 10am. Last admission is 8:30pm. It is closed Tuesdays (moving to Wednesday when Tuesday is a national holiday) and on 31 December and 1 January. Check for additional notices before a long drive.
What the bath offers
The facility lists indoor and outdoor baths, a sauna and a rest area. The spring is classified as sodium bicarbonate, and the bath is presented as a natural hot spring. Current public pages do not give complete, tub-by-tub information on dilution, heating, circulation or disinfection, so the spring classification should not be mistaken for a claim that every pool is untreated flow-through water.
The setting is part of the appeal: Shiramine is a mountain settlement with a preserved historic character, rather than a large resort district. Leave time to walk the village if the weather and transport schedule allow. The onsen is more rewarding as one stop in that outing than as the only destination.
Getting there
By car, Hakusan City estimates around 80 minutes from Hakusan Interchange via Route 157; parking is available. By bus, use the Hokutetsu service to Shiramine. The journey from Kanazawa is long, so decide on your return bus before committing to a soak. Weekend day-trip passes and sample itineraries can help, but weekday service should be checked separately rather than inferred from a weekend timetable.
Bring towels and check the return connection first. That small bit of planning matters more here than whether you arrive at opening time: a missed mountain bus can turn a relaxed bath into a difficult trip back.
