Izumi Tenku no Yu Ariake Garden: Hours, Fees and the Overnight Catch
Plan a visit to Ariake’s 24-hour spa: weekday entry is ¥2,600, with a ¥3,000 late-night surcharge if you stay between 1 and 5 a.m. Baths close overnight.
Izumi Tenku no Yu is most useful after a concert, convention or other day around Ariake and Tokyo Big Sight. You can enter from 5 a.m. and stay in the building overnight, but “open 24 hours” does not mean you can bathe through the night. The public baths and sauna shut for cleaning, and staying across the late-night billing window changes the price considerably.

Choose the visit by the clock
| Plan | Adult price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday morning | ¥1,800 | Leave by 10 a.m.; staying later triggers the regular rate |
| Standard weekday | ¥2,600 | Junior high school age and older; bathing tax is included |
| Weekend or holiday | ¥3,800 | Same basic admission, with a higher day rate |
| Weekday late-night short visit | ¥2,000 | The “speed” rate is for a 11 p.m.–1 a.m. stay |
| Stay between 1 and 5 a.m. | Add ¥3,000 weekdays or ¥5,000 weekends | Charged automatically, even if you entered earlier |
For example, a weekday standard visit that overlaps the 1–5 a.m. billing window totals ¥5,600. The building remains open, but the baths and sauna close for cleaning from 1:30 to 5 a.m.; overnight guests use rest areas, not hotel rooms.
| Add-on or age rule | Price / hours | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Bedrock bath | ¥800; 8 a.m.–midnight, last entry 11:30 p.m. | Clothing and towel included |
| Children aged 4 through elementary school | ¥1,800 | Children under four and guests wearing diapers cannot enter |
| Guests under 18 | — | May not stay after 10 p.m. unless accompanied by a guardian |
A real spring, used in specific pools
The facility draws its own spring, Ariake Izumi Tenku Onsen, from roughly 1,500 metres underground. It is classified as a highly saline iodine-sodium-chloride spring. The published analysis lists a source temperature of 28.6°C, a flow rate of 150 litres a minute and pH 7.5 (7.55 in the laboratory test).
The spring water is heated and circulated through filtration, so this is not a source-fed flow-through bath. The natural spring is used in the outdoor bath; the carbonated, jet and cold pools are separate baths.
The bathing menu also includes two saunas and several indoor pools. Standard admission already covers the public bath and sauna, so bedrock bathing only makes sense if you have time for the shared rest area as well. It is not a must-buy add-on for a short soak.
The location works best when you are already nearby
Ariake Station is about four minutes on foot, Ariake-Tennis-no-mori about three, and Kokusai-Tenjijo about six. That makes the spa an easy finish to an event in the bay area. From Ueno, Asakusa or Shinjuku, it is a longer cross-city detour; compare the Heiwajima day-and-airport option if your plans run through Haneda instead.
The venue does not allow re-entry after checkout. Finish outside activities before you enter, then use the bath, dining and rest spaces in one visit. Tattoos are not accepted under the facility rules; no cover-sticker exception is listed. For the late-night fee and any planned maintenance closure, check the current notice before you go.
