Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu: A Bus-Friendly Hotel with an Onsen

See whether Nishitetsu Resort Inn fits a bus-based Beppu stay, with onsen conditions, room sizes, breakfast, parking and family notes.

Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu is especially convenient if you arrive by airport or highway bus: the Kitahama bus stop is about a minute away. It also has a natural hot spring bath, but this is a city hotel rather than a private-bath ryokan. There is no onsen in the guest rooms, and the public bath is not source-flowing.

A booking search found a one-night room for two at about ¥10,754. That is an availability snapshot rather than a fixed rate; check whether your selected plan includes breakfast and compare the parking charge as well.

The second-floor baths are separated by gender and each has an indoor and an outdoor section. The spring is natural Beppu water, with added water and circulation/filtration. The hotel’s public information lists bathing from 3 pm to 1 am and again from 5 to 9:30 am. It is a straightforward place to soak after a day out; anyone specifically looking for an untouched source-flowing bath should choose elsewhere.

Room sizes are compact

The hotel has about 184 rooms. The smallest single is 12 m², with a 123 cm bed. A 15 m² double has a 160 cm bed, while the 15 m² economy twin fits two 100 cm beds. The standard twin is 17 m² with two 110 cm beds. For a solo guest or an overnight stop, the smaller rooms are workable. Two people with large suitcases will appreciate the standard twin’s extra floor space.

None of these bathrooms is a private hot-spring bath. The hotel’s onsen access refers to the shared second-floor facility, not to the tub in your room.

Breakfast, parking and the next bus

Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet on the first floor, served from 6:30 to 9:30 am. The current listed price is ¥1,500 per person, though some plans include it. Check the total before adding breakfast at the hotel. There is no ryokan-style dinner service; Kitahama’s restaurants make it easy to eat nearby instead.

The JR station is about a ten-minute walk away, so guests who travel by train may find a station-front hotel more convenient. By contrast, Nishitetsu is hard to beat for an early airport or highway bus: the stop is just around the corner. Parking is paid; the hotel’s current parking information lists ¥1,000 per night for designated and partner spaces. Verify the arrangement when you book, since the fee is easy to miss when comparing room rates.

Pre-school children may share an existing bed at no charge, usually one child per bed. A separate bed or another arrangement may cost extra; enter each child’s age when searching and check the selected plan.

The hotel has a lift and lists accessibility features, but a step-free route from an accessible room through the changing area to the bath is unconfirmed. Ask about the exact route if needed. Pets are not accepted, and the current tattoo rule is unconfirmed. There is no private family bath.

Compare the same dates and check whether breakfast and parking are included.
