Yuki Lodge suits visitors who want a river-facing outdoor bath and can spare much of a day for the journey. From Itsukaichi Station, the bus takes about 75–76 minutes each way; the final return service leaves before the bath closes. A car-free visit is possible, but it needs to be planned around that bus.

What a day visitor can use
Yuki Lodge sits beside the Minai River in the Yuki area of Saeki Ward. Day-use admission includes the public bath, indoor and outdoor baths, and the sauna in the assigned bathing area.

The 28.3°C figure is the source temperature, not the temperature of the pools. The lodge does not publish a fixed temperature for each bath.
The two bathing areas switch between men and women by date. On even-numbered dates, men use the cypress side and women the marble side; the allocation reverses on odd-numbered dates. The cypress side has a high-temperature dry sauna, while the marble side has a mist sauna. Both areas have an open-air bath.
An accessible family bath is available by reservation and is separate from standard day admission. Contact the lodge to arrange it and confirm the current price.
The outdoor bath faces the Minai River and the surrounding valley. That close, wooded setting is the reason to make the trip; it is different from a city bath with a landscaped courtyard. Prices include consumption and bathing taxes. A single adult arriving without towels should budget ¥1,150 for admission plus one towel and a rented bath towel, before transport. Add the bus fare from Itsukaichi: at ¥1,000 each way, a no-car adult’s basic bath-and-bus total is ¥2,750. That still excludes the train or tram needed to reach Itsukaichi, and any food.
The day ticket costs ¥250 more than one-visit admission. The facility’s published page does not clearly explain whether leaving the building and returning is allowed, so ask before buying it for a split-day itinerary. For a straightforward soak, the one-visit ticket is the safer calculation.
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers are provided. Towels are not part of the basic admission. Free lockers are available, and the lodge lists free parking for 120 cars.
The bus sets the shape of the day
From central Hiroshima, take a JR Sanyo Line or Hiroshima Electric Railway train to Itsukaichi Station. The Hiroden bus to Yuki Lodge-mae boards at the south exit and stops at the lodge. The trip takes about 75 minutes (around 76 minutes in the route information), and the one-way fare from Itsukaichi is ¥1,000. Allow extra time for road conditions.

These are bus departure times, not bath closing times. Check date-specific changes and leave a buffer; do not rely on finding an unbooked taxi at the lodge.
The free shuttle from Hiroshima Station is for overnight guests only. It runs on weekdays, requires advance reservation and does not operate on weekends, public holidays, Golden Week, Obon or the year-end/New Year period. Day visitors should budget for the paid bus from Itsukaichi.
By car, the lodge lists around 40 minutes from Itsukaichi Interchange, with 120 free spaces and no reservation required. From the Miyajima side, its access guidance recommends approaching via Itsukaichi rather than following some navigation routes through a narrow road from Hatsukaichi. In winter, the lodge specifically cautions that some mountain routes can become difficult in snow; check road conditions and use the recommended approach.
A simple half-day plan—and when to skip lunch there
Choose your return bus first, then decide whether lunch fits before the bath. The restaurant’s lunch seating cutoff is 1:30 p.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. on weekends and holidays. A bus arriving near either cutoff leaves little time to eat, so check the timetable before planning lunch at the lodge.

For a car-free visit, have lunch at the lodge only if your bus arrives well before the cutoff. Otherwise, eat in Itsukaichi or Hiroshima and use your time at Yuki Lodge for the bath.
Is Yuki Lodge worth the trip?
The river-valley setting, published spring details and indoor/outdoor baths are the main reasons to make the trip. Admission is ¥750 for one visit or ¥1,000 for a day ticket; the round-trip bus from Itsukaichi costs ¥2,000, so transport costs more than the bath. The total is easier to justify if you are driving or already exploring Yuki.
An evening-only visit is a poor fit without a car: the last bus leaves before the seasonal bath closing time (9 p.m. in summer and 8 p.m. in winter).
